Carlo Ancelotti Responds To Claims That Real Madrid Is In Crisis
The Spanish football giants, Real Madrid, have recently been rocked with news that the team is in a “crisis” or “situation of suffering”, according to Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Carlo Ancelotti Dismissing Claims
Speaking in an interview on Thursday, Ancelotti denied the rumors that Real Madrid was in a crisis. The Italian manager who formerly coached Real Madrid during the 2013-15 season, stated the players and staff of Real Madrid were in good spirits, contrary to the negative talk.
Real Madrid’s Current Campaign
Real Madrid, who finished third in La Liga last season, is currently 14th on the table and has conceded 12 goals in its first three games of the 2019-20 campaign. Despite their current form, Ancelotti insists there is no cause for alarm.
What Ancelotti Had To Say
In the interview, Ancelotti praised the leadership of current Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and explained his belief that the team’s current situation is a result of the rebuilding process which began at the end of last season.
Ancelotti went on to highlight some of the positives he observed from the new arrivals in Madrid’s squad, including Eden Hazard, Ferland Mendy and Luka Jovic.
Ancelotti’s Right To Be Confident
To ensure his players remain focused, Ancelotti is adamant that Real Madrid should stay confident and ignore the negative press from the media. The squad of players Zidane has assembled is well capable of success this season and therefore Ancelotti is right to remain confident in the team’s ability despite the early bumps in the road.
Real Madrid fans can expect the team to bounce back in the coming weeks and return to the form they were accustomed to under Ancelotti’s management in their previous campaign.
