Former Vancouver Whitecaps Star Alphonso Davies Linked With Real Madrid
Canada’s Alphonso Davies is one of the world’s hottest young prospects, and has recently been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Davies made his name playing for the Vancouver Whitecaps, and his impressive performances led him to sign for Germany’s Bayern Munich. He has since established himself as a key member of Bayern’s squad, resulting in an unprecedented move being suggested for his future.
Gianluca Di Marzio was the first to suggest that Davies could be the subject of a move to the Bernabéu, with Madrid allegedly keen to bring the Canadian to the club.
This is not the first time that the youngster has been linked with a move to the Spanish capital, with reports back in 2019 also suggesting a move could be imminent.
Could It Actually Happen?
Real Madrid have a history of signing the world’s best talent, and with Davies having developed into one of the game’s finest wide-men it is not surprising that they are showing an interest.
The fee that would be needed to sign Davies is expected to be in the region of £75 million, and considering the 20-year-old’s potential, this could represent a bargain in the future.
The suggested move would see Davies transferred to Madrid in 2024, when his current deal with Bayern is due to expire.
Alphonso Davies is one of the hottest young prospects in world football and his potential move to Real Madrid is a testament to his potential.
It remains to be seen if the Canadian will make the switch, but it is clear that the Spanish giants are taking a keen interest in his future.
